Ksubi is inspired by the homeless Japanese
12/08/2009
Australian cult fashion label
Ksubi
have just arrived back from Toyko where they put up an installation along with fashion boutqiue Cannabis. The
Ksubi
team erected a bright blue plastic shelter made out of tarpolins. They are calling it their
"home away from home".
The boys were inspired by the hand-built shelters of the homeless people in Tokyo.
The installation which has been called
"Home honey, I'm Hi"
, is to reflect the Japanese people's obsession for material comforts and our desire for a simpler hassle-free existence. This was Ksubi's second pop-up store since their
recent installation
at
Don't Come Gallery
to celebrate their
"Lest we Regret"
collection.
