Rodarte Spring Summer 2010
16/09/2009
Designer Sister duo Kate and Laura Mulleavy have done it again, the pair behind amazing label
Rodarte
showcased their upcoming Spring Summer 2010 collection at New York Fashion Week yesterday. Famous for their incredible cobweb knits,
Rodarte
tied in a lot of knitwear into the new collection. Main features included earthy eroded dresses, leather lattice work, special tye-dies, twists of fabric, plaid and patchwork. The girls worked with a colour palette of dominantly browns, greens and reds. Defiantly a lot of editorial pieces and texture.
Rumor was that
R
odarte
was and is making a film - and if models were to go outside they would have to wear black capes to hide themselves. Then later it was confirmed that photographer
Autumn de Wilde
is making a
Rodarte
film - he often photographs backstage at the show.
The make-up was to die for with the black outer lips and purple inner, pale skin, knit-wrapped hair and huge tribal-looking tattoos drawn onto the models bodies. Below is some pictures from the show and backstage.
